An exciting, completely free 8-week youth basketball league is coming to Runrec!
In partnership with Play Forever, this program gives young athletes in Grades 6–9 the chance to compete in a professional, structured, and safe environment — with referees, proper equipment, and supportive mentors guiding every game.
Proudly sponsored by Runrec, Canadian Tire Jumpstart, and the TELUS Friendly Future Foundation, this initiative removes financial barriers so every child can play, grow, and belong. By hosting the league at The RunRec, participants gain access to a modern, secure facility that promotes confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits that last a lifetime.

League Structure
8 Weeks of Basketball
- Weekly games held on Friday nights from 6pm-8pm at Runrec
- November 14th - January 9th ( No session December 26th)
- Referees present for every game to ensure fairness and structure
- Championship playoff tournament in the final week
